Born in 1951 in Leningrad. Graduated from Leningrad engineer and building institute, specialised in motor transport, obtained the qualifications of engineer and mechanic.

Starting from 1973 he works in bus transport. He started his career as the engineer and in 1997 he was appointed the general manager of "Passengermotortrans". In 2001 he received professional training in Multibranch institute of professional training for managers of Saint-Petersburg state engineer and economic university, specialised in economics and management in transport companies.

In his profession he has proved to be a very good manager. He received state awards, "The Order of the Honour", the medal "Honoured worker of motor transport".
