Vice-governor of St. Petersburg.
   Born on June 4, 1947 in Leningrad.
   Graduated from the Finance and Economics Institute with a major in Engineering and Economics, and the Technological Institute with a major in Chemical Engineering. Worked at the Kotlyakov Plant, then at the "Lenpod'emtransmash". Built his career from a team leader to a production director.
   In 1984-1989 - head of the Leninsky District Executive Committee.
   In 1989 elected Secretary of the Leningrad Executive Committee. Deputy of several convocations of the Leningrad Assembly.
   Subsequently worked at the "Elopak" and "Fincolor" joint enterprises.
   Married, has a son and a daughter.
