V. V. Sokolov, principal director of Peterhof Holidays of Fountains, was born in 1954. He graduated from the Leningrad, State Institute of Cinematography of Krupskaya with a major in producer's department. Since 1979 till 1984 V. V. Sokolov was working as artistic director of the Pertodvorets House of Culture. At that time he was also the manager of student theatre. From 1984 till 1987 he worked in Hungary, Yugoslavia - as clubs' director.

Since 1987 till 1991 V. V. Sokolov is artistic director and producer at "Park-theatre Peterhof". Since 1991 up to the present moment V. V. Sokolov is producer for firm - "Paradis-service". During that time he has been taking part in realization of the following holidays:

• Christmas Ball in Tavrichesky Palace;
• Contest "Miss St. Petersburg - 91";
• New Year's Night on the Isaakievskaya Square - 1992;
• Balls and performances at the palaces of St. Petersburg;
• Celebration devoted to the 180th Anniversary of M. Y. Lermontov;
• Since 1995, he has been principal director of Peterhof Holidays of Fountains;
• Since 2000, he has been principal director of "Holiday of Bread";
• He as well realized a number concerts, balls, presentations and fireworks.
