Film director, artistic administrator of the film studio "ROK".
    Born August 31, 1951 in Leningrad.
    Graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography.
    Worked at Documentary Film studio.
    Upholds the traditions of the documentary filming.
    His father, Yefim Uchitel, National USSR artist, was a founder of the documentary filming.
    In 1990 founded the film studio "ROK".
    "Laura's Secret", "Demonstration Lesson", "Mitki in Europe", "By-pass Canal", "Rock in Russia", "The Last Hero", "Madame Butterfly", and "Maestro" are among his 20 films.
    Commenced his career with a film "Jeselle's Mania". The public and the press at once noticed this debut.
    Winner of a number of the International Film Festivals.
